MUSE MACHINE PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION

The Muse Machine Parents’ Association consists of all parents of the students participating in the current year’s production, as well as many alumni parents whose children have participated in past years.  The group supports the Muse Machine staff in many ways.  Following are some of the functions of the group:

Office help – answering phones, mailings, projects

Audition appointment scheduling

Audition registration and walkers

Costume help for Musical and Concert

Coordination of meals and beverages for the musical participants

Providing security for rehearsal exit times

Coordination of flower orders for cast members

Coordination of the Parents’ opening night reception

Coordination of the wrap party

Coordination of the Directors’ Luncheon

Alumni group inception and plan

The Parent’s Association works closely with producer, Doug Merk.  The Advisory Committee consists of: President, Beverage Chair, Winter Dance/Dinner Chair, Security, Audition Volunteers/Office Help, Meals Coordinator, Parents’ Opening Night Reception Coordinator, Wrap Party Coordinator, Directors’ Luncheon Coordinator, Flower Chair.

  • 3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools?
  • 4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair?
  • 3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance?
  • 4 times more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem?

For years, researchers have been touting the benefits of the arts for children.  Muse Machine believes in the arts and the significant impact they have on the youth of our community.  That is why we do what we do.
